Assignment #4: Vectors, Perspective and Painting

From part 24 of 24 in the Digital Art for Beginners Session.....

Okay, tomorrow (Friday, March 9), after you present your animated gifs, we will tackle two tutorials which have to do with a variety of useful Photoshop tools, but mainly concentrating on painting and vectors. The assignment is to take a pre-existing photograph of a landscape, and to paint a 3-dimentional object onto it from scratch, using the painting and vector tools.

Lesson #23 is helpful and will lead up to this (vectors are right at the end):

And the "painting" lesson #24 will go into this set of problems in detail:

You will have 2-3 weeks to work on this assignment before we start presenting and critiquing them in class. In the meantime, get thee to the Whitney Biennial!
